As a makeup artist sometimes I forget to tell my brides how to prep before their wedding so here are a few tips:
1. Schedule a trial run and try to get a contract
2. Drink plenty of water weeks before your wedding, this helps the skin look fresh and hydrated. If you have a Bachelorette party and alcohol is involved, drink water that night. Alcohol can lead up to you having dry flaky skin the day off. If you notice skin flaking, try to exfoliate.
3. If you wax your brows/face try doing it on that Monday or the week before. Sometimes wax takes off the first layer(dead skin cell) and it could show lines of demarcation
4. Try being on time, you never know what your makeup artist has scheduled... unless you're paying a day rate then she's all yours!

Tips for my Brides/Wedding Season!!
Hello All!!
It's been a great season so far... I just want to give a few tips for any future Brides.. I've learned/seen a lot over the past few months and I would love to share some tips that my Brides shared with me on what to do/what not to do. When it comes to hair and makeup, always do a trial run and try to get a contract. This morning, I had a Bride and her hairstylist didn't show up. Second have a time line, Third if your able, try getting your nails and toes done during the week not the day of "one less thing to worry about" and please get a "Wedding Planner" it's the best decision you could ever make. If you're in the Huntsville area, please check out Calandra Terry contact number 256-858-3883 Next Blog tips for Prepping a Bride. Thank you for reading!!!

Mascara Anyone!
If your looking for volume, length and curl, try Smokey Lash by Make Up Forever. It also has a lot of pigment which gives the darkest black effect for your lashes, retail $22.00 Thanks for sharing Nanette! You also can find another great mascara from Smash Box, Hyper Lash Mascara. It gives the same effect without the curling action so for those of you that already have curly lashes, this would be great $21.00 Thanks for sharing Victoria!!!

More bang for your buck Part II
I just learned a lot of great products from some of my clients that came to today's eyeshadow blending class... One of my clients showed me her brush cleaner from Ulta (Ulta Professional brush cleaner) it's amazing for only $8.99. You can use it on the spot and it dries in 15 to 20 seconds! This one is going to make you flip!!! I also discovered a Wet-n-Wild mega liquid liner for $2.99. Yes, Wet-n-Wild!!! It's smudge proof and it gives a fine precise line and can be found at CVS or Rite Aid....

If you don't know, the majority of foundation brushes in department stores are synthetic and can cost anywhere from$29-$50..... Go figure!!! I'll keep you posted on more items that you can get more bang for your buck!!!

Smudge Liner
Hey Ladies!!!
Let's soften up that eye liner... One of my favorite tips is after I apply my eye liner to the lower lash line (Engraved by Mac) I use my #219 (Mac) eyeliner smudging brush to smudge the eye liner to give the eye a softer look!!! You can make this as thin/heavy of a line as you want, go ahead and give it a try :-)
